Holiday Hooking

I have 5 crocheted clutches available just in time for holiday gift-giving. At just $16 each they are a great buy!

Guaranteed to keep your night-out necessities cozy and warm in style.

Each clutch measures approximately 10" x 6" and is crocheted and lined by hand. Each bag also features a woven ribbon detail and a button closure.

1. Creme de Menthe -- Chocolate brown with brown and green striped ribbon; minty green polka-dot lining.

2. Island Waves -- Basic black with a bold splash of tropical color inside and out. Ribbon is Lemon, lime, and aqua striped and coordinates with the lining.

3. Neapolitan -- A deep brown with pink ribbon and multi-colored striped lining.

4. Rasberry Bubble Gum -- A lovely berry-red shade with bubblegum pink ribbon and bubbliscious lining.

4. Black Tie -- An understated black featuring a striped black, white and grey ribbon and a silver crocheted button. There is a surprise inside -- a colorful retro-inspired lining.

I also have time for a few custom holiday orders. Contact me if you are interested. Thanks for looking!

pink dream

i needed a fun project for myself this week, so i whipped up this pink felted clutch. it is worked in the round, so there are no seams anywhere! i guess, technically, it's worked "in the oval" since i wanted it to stay slim, but still have some width to it. the yarn is patons classic merino wool in "That's Pink!". i love that color name! :)

Fat Quarters for Fat Tuesday!

i know, i know, it's friday, but it was a perfect heading. anyway, i mailed mine out on tuesday as part of a FQ swap with some gals from mormonchic. participants swapped 2 fat quarters and chocolate. isn't the chocolate just the perfect touch? i don't quilt, but i DO use FQs as purse linings for crocheted purses, and i have a feeling sewing is in my future.

here are the fabrics and goodies i received: (she was nice enough to include some suckers for the kiddies -- thanks, dawn!)

first of all, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabrics! i confess, i saw the polka dots at my local quilt shop and fell in love with it. really it's uncanny how well she got into my head! the browns, aqua, and tangerine colors are really jiving with me right now, i LOVE them, and actually sent fabrics in the same colors off to my partner! did i mention i LOVE them? Thank-you! i think the brown fabric calls for an aqua bag with tangerine ribbon or maybe even a silk blossom....the dots will be beautiful lining a brown bag. i'm wanting to branch out in my crochet endeavors also, so maybe i can come up with another fun way to utilize fabric in my work...appliques? maybe. but i need to think on it and perhaps surf for inspiration.

BUSY for BABIES

here is some of what i have been working on this week:

this is the "lymon" sweater for a friend...she's unsure whether it's a boy or girl, hence the 2 button sets! yeah, it's customizable AND interactive. i'm so hip on the new technology.

here are the baby uggs! i LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

uggs with hat -- the cutest hat ever! the earflaps can tie up on the top with the strings...

Gift Exchange Bag

I was invited to a gift exchange party by a neighbor and am supposed to bring a gift valued at about $20...since we're broke, I made this! It is felted -- chocolate brown and the pink is not quite so HOT as in the photo...the stripes continue around the back and the flap closes with a single center snap. Hope people will like it...

skullie scarf -- tangled up in blue

who would have guessed the skullie scarf would be such a hit? here is my latest version, i love the blue...it's really more of a peacock blue and really pretty. i'm still planning on posting a pic of the original skullie hat -- hopefully soon!
